Museum of the Moon

Luke Jerram installation: Bristol Cathedral

Enlightened was privileged to facilitate lighting and rigging, artist Luke Jerrams' ‘Museum of the Moon’ installation in Bristol Cathedral.

Suspended in the central transept crossing of the Cathedrals vaulted nave, the installation has been augmented by uplighting the columns along the nave's length in deep blue, utilising a combination of Helix S5000 Q4’s and OXO Pixyline 150s.

Luke Jerram’s ‘Museum of the Moon’ installation has been a huge success since it opened, so much so that Bristol Cathedral has added further ticket capacity to allow as many visitors as possible the chance to experience the installation.

Museum of the Moon has been commissioned by a number of creative organisations including, among others, Bristol’s own, We the Curious, and the University of Bristol.  The artwork is part of the European INSITU network and has gained an international following since being exhibited in some of the world’s most iconic buildings.
