Enlightened are pleased to announce that the BBC has renewed our approved supplier status for a further two years after a favourable review of a competitive tender process. 

Enlightened has been an approved supplier to the corporation since 2016 and have over this period supported BBC productions with specialist lighting and rigging equipment services, across both its regional and national current affairs, live production programming. 

Alongside our significant stock of specialist theatrical lighting, rigging, AV and electrical distribution equipment Enlightened has recently made a further significant investment in Strand studio lighting designed specifically for the broadcast and television industry.

Head of Hire and Production at Enlightened, Dave Thorpe, said of the renewal of Enlightened BBC Approved Supplier agreement: “We are delighted to continue to supply the BBC with equipment and services for their live productions and broadcast output.
