Position Summary

This position will take new leads and enquiries through specification, design, quotation and conversion to order. You will be providing technical installation solutions for a diverse range of clients and venues within the entertainment and educational sectors.  

Your role will be to support growth and assist in developing long term strategic goals, build customer relationships, identify business opportunities and convert enquiries and interest into business revenue through a client focused approach.  You’ll be the first point of contact for clients to ensure they are getting the installation or maintenance contract they require.

This is a unique opportunity to secure a sought after role in our close and talented team in a dynamic and expanding installation department. 

The right person for this role will be technically proficient and have a thorough understanding of all theatrical systems including AV, Lighting, Sound, Staging & Rigging. You will ideally have a proven track record in this field.

Position Summary

Enlightened are offering a student placement scheme, in which a successful applicant will work across all the departments of Enlightened in project management, warehouse work, installation and repairs work.

Enlightened deal with a wide range of clients, from corporate events and awards ceremonies to semi-permanent ice rinks, literature festivals and the Glastonbury music festival – at a wide range of scales, to deliver hires, event production and installations across the South West and beyond, at a very high standard.

Position Summary

You will be working within Headquarters of Enlightened in Bristol. This role is a key party of the operation, ensuring all equipment is prepared, returned & maintained to the high standards expected by our clients and productions.

Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Prepare equipment for hire / use / sale.
  • Return & Test equipment post hire / use.
  • Follow warehouse procedure and processes
  • Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and transfer to storage as required.
  • Toload / unload vehicles as required.
  • Ensure the workplace is a safe environment to work in and address health and safety issues where possible.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment to as high a standard as practically possible.
  • Take bookings and enquires (including sales) over the counter from customers
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to customers where required
  • Liaise with the production department on larger production jobs.
  • Prioritise kit leaving and entering the building.
  • Assist with stock control and asset tracking.
  • Provide expert technical advice and assistance to customers.
  • Assist other departments as required (Sales, Installation, Production & Repairs)
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge of items within hire stocks.

Hours & Location Of Work 

You will work between 40 and 48hr per week. Your primary hours of work will be;

  • 09.00 hrs to 17.30 Monday to Friday
  • 1/2 an hour unpaid lunch break each day.

In addition you will be required to join the Saturday rota, working one Saturday in five / six, 09.30 hrs to 12.00 hrs.

Be part of the out of hours support rota

As an essential member of the Enlightened team you should be willing to undertake all reasonable duties requested or under your own initiative as required by circumstance.
